Controller support
So, exactly how do you get a controller to work with ANY version of this game? When I was having problems with a generic PS3 controller in Steam, installing the XBox360 controller drivers fixed it. Doesn't matter if it's the STeam or the pirated Origin version (what the Steam version should be but WB doesn't give a fuq about fixing it) the game doesn't register my controller. Tried using x360ce again and that program won't even let me map the button inputs anymore.

I tried playing with keyboard+mouse and the car swerves all over the place when I try to turn.

Hey, just thought i'd let you know ahead of time...

I dunno if it's still availible, but if you have PS NOW on your Computer,
again, I dunno if your required to use or have a subscription, but
having PS Now, is suppose to allow you to get the PS3 or DS3
Drivers for the Computer, however, trying to un-install the ones

that were originally installed in place of those Drivers by such as
a 3rd Party... Is from what I understood a complete & utter pain, o_@

But supposedly, Sony did release or someone did release Offical
PS3 or DS3 Drivers for the Controllers on Computers...

The issue is, you still are required to use either a Dongle or
Wired, you cannot switch back & forth...

The other issue is that, I read 2 things, 1 that Sony is Removing
PS Now from PS3 soon, or already has, & the other thing was
that it was rumored that it was not actually removed, & that they
just haven't Updated the Site...

If PS Now was removed from the PS3, I have no idea how that
would have effected the Drivers for the Computer... But even
then, it does not specificy what the requirements even were
to get those Drivers...

It only stated that you just need PS NOW & STEAM Big Picture
Overlay for setting up your PS3 or DS3 Controllers, after that
the Controller should work in STEAM, o_@

It also does not specify weather the Drivers are only useable
while the PS Now is running, or if once you have gotten the
drivers, if PS Now is no longer needed, ~_~

P.S.: Point is to all of this, if you had the Official Drivers, do you think,
that would make a difference on your Game Play for Games on STEAM?

I dunno if it would, but I also can't say that it wouldn't either... ^_-

Good Luck!!! Also, a 360 Controller seems the best all around Controller
for PC Gaming right now, it is compatible with most Games using Controllers,
& it's easy to setup, plus, it's easy to use, o_@

I dunno if this Game however is having isues with all Controllers though,
or just the one your using... So can't be certain if I am much help... :(

I couldn't justify spending $50 for an XBox360 controller. Once I managed to install the official XBOX360 controller drivers and disable some sort of driver option by pressing F8 on bootup, Steam recognized my generic PS3 controller as an XBox360 controller. I just don't understand what the problem is when small indies and even 10+ year old games accepted my inputs with just the drivers Windows 7 installs when you plug it in.

As for the PS Now, I installed the thing and my controller still wouldn't work with Steam. Steam recognized the controller as a PS3 one BUT it wouldn't register any button inputs.

The controller I replaced was an old Alienware dual PC/PS2 controller that steam registered as an XBox360 controller without needing to install any drivers beyond the ones Windows installed the first time I plugged it in. Again older games accepted button inputs from the controller by default.
