Scavaging Locations 190/191 226/227
I have all surveying tables built, I'm in the post game, and I've scoured the map.

At first I thought the game was glitched, but the statistics say I have 226 locations done, not the 227 which would show that I am glitched, so there SHOULD be something out there, but I'm not seeing any locations to search.

Are the dunes scouted automatically when you built all the survey tables? Or did I just reveal the ones I cleared out on the map over there just by driving around in the missions I did over there and didnt notice?

If anyone can give me any sort of answer I'd appreciate it.

Dunes are revealed by building the survey tables in Deep Friah's stronghold. Without seeing your map all I can suggest is that you go around and check all balloon sites, as they do count, but don't show up as scavange locations.

Also check that all camps have a green/gold icon, and not green/white. If any have green/whits then you have missed something there.

The 190/191, 226/227 seems to be a common 'glitch'...or was for awhile for many players.
this video pretty much explains why it happens and how to avoid it....
sounds like you just missed one location somewhere.

It can mean you've overlooked a relic somewhere. If this is the case it won't show on your map and that makes it very hard to find, but if you're set on completing all scavenging items, you'll have to bite it and start searching the map.

You can find maps with all Scavenging location marked (Google and Youtube both have useful links and videos respectively), that'll help you complete this task and sort out what you may have missed where.

Best of luck.

Unless the last yellow "STUFF HERE" symbol is hidden under one of the purple things I cant see nothing.

I have all of the history relics, so whatevers left is pure scrap and I cant use the IGN relic map to find it.

I did find one thing of scrap at a balloon that I didnt get, and that said "100% CLEARED" or whatever but im still at 190/191 226/227.

I've double checked the beginning area where Chumbucket tells you how to do stuff so see if its there, theres nothing.

Gonna go see if I missed anything in the buried church in the dunes because I think I remember reading that it doesnt pop up on the map.

FOUND IT. It WAS buried underneath one of those stupid purple icons, in Gastown.

Thanks for offering advice! Now I get to slam my head against the rest of these stupid challenges!

If anyone got 190/191 and can't find any more locations on the map, there's a hidden one at the beginning area of the game. West of Chum Bucket's stronghold. I bet most people missed it, assumed it was a glitch.

i scoured the entire map for everything on my first play. as first the fence with the red X on it in Chumbucket's was something you land a vehicle on and did exactly that, and then i realised something else was needed and when access to the garage came and the first harpoon upgrade. you can progress past that by harpooning the gate and using the vehicle to move it aside. (also don't forget the crowbar/jimmy upgrade)

The first warboys camp in Chumbucket's intially provided an issue when locating everything, so that helped me when searching around every other location not to miss anything and double and triple check.

This was the one I missed! Thank you!

Makes sense considering you don't get a Survey Crew for that small, starter region.

I love you. I'm trying to get all achievements and this is the last thing I need. I got all Challenges except Reaper of the Harvest and have been searching for hours for this last location. I of course can't get 'A Penny Saved', but I grinded all the other challenges and got them all except Reaper so that I'd feel like I earned 'Up to the Task'. Thank you a thousand fold four years later

Yes this is the correct answer. Go look here, you should be able to get the achievement. Thanks mate!
I'm at 191/227 and still no achievement.
There's an explanation that you haven't thought of: How many times have you heard Chumbucket exclaim while you were driving, "Oh, lookie—buried car! Sacred artifacts!" There's a lootable car buried in the sand nearby. No loot marker will appear, so you have to search the area for something that stands out just a little bit. When you get close enough to it, a prompt will appear over the burial site instructing you to use your harpoon to pull it out. Only then can you loot it. Miss one such loot opportunity, the AI knows it. I was unable to find the last gawdamned one Chumbucket alerted me to.
