T-boning

Quite sure it's done by ramming the vehicle by sides at 90 degrees, but somehow I don't get it and so far still only 1 T-boning from 29 total (5 first and 24 repeatable iirc). How to do it properly again?

I'm going to use the buzzard cars that spawn nearby a death run location.
