Question about the V8 engines...

Ok, so I have played thru this game many times and I still wonder about this so I thought I would get your opinions. Now according to the ingame engine stats the "Ultimate V8" (V8 engine 6) has better acceleration than the "Massive V8" (V8 engine 4).

Now it may just be an illusion due to the "smooth" sound of that engine but to me the 4th V8 engine seems to have better acceleration than the "best", last, V8 engine...

What do you think??

Just one question, did you test them both based on the exact same car attachments?

Well I have used both engines on the same car and same setup. I haven't actually "tested" them over a set distance or anything if that's what you mean. Like this game now I have been using the 4th engine and just cleard pink eyes region and got the last engine, and it just doesn't seem to have the acceleration and power of the 4th engine.

Maybe it's just an illusion but it sure feels like it, that's why I thought I would ask other players what they think. It's not a big issue, just a curiosity really...

I know what you mean. Go by the stats on the acceleration bar in the garage. I am so disappointed in the V8 that I use the V6 late in the game because it sounds awesome, the V8 puny. It's very bothersome to me. A dual supercharged 429 cid V8 is going to make around 700+hp. I want 8 exhaust pipes too, at least one Scrotus car has 8 pipes on a V6, I'm pissed!

Yeah, I know what you mean. I still prfer using the V8 tho, but as much as I like the look of the 5th one with the skull on it, I won't use it cuz it really sounds terrible in my opinion, especially when under strain.

I wish this game could be modded cuz the first thing I would do is copy the engine sound from the last V8 and use it for that one as well. Maybe now that it's on Origin modding might be possible...
