The stronghold stockpiles.
There was a stock pile in jeet's stronghold I was asked to build by giving 500 scraps. I did. Then a new stock pile appeared and I was asked to build that as well, this time by giving 1500 scraps.

----------------------------

After you give scraps to the stockpile you're told that the stronghold is growing, but what does that mean? What do these stockpiles actually do? And what kind of benefit do Max get from it?

Is it worthwhile to spend scrap on these stockpiles or should I keep the scrap for myself?

----------------------------

Thanks in advance for tips and answers.

As far as I can tell upgrading a stronghold only fills it with people, Makes it look les like an empty nothing and gets the locals to stop griping in their random dialogue. If there's any actual benefit other than filling the challenges for building all the scrap projects in each hold, I doubt they do anything.

The stockpiles, of which there are 3 for each stronghold, don't give you anything except a Griffa token for building all 3. The 3 stockpiles are for 500, 1,000 and finally 1,500. They also go towards an achievement for completing all strongholds.

I thought someone once said that doing the stockpiles reduces the time between being able to use your improvements, like gas or ammo etc. I haven't tested it personally. Also it makes the inside look a little better and slightly more built up, though that might also be effected by the other projects.

I do the stockpiles when I have "too much" scrap, as I've been deliberately holding back on my scrap collection so I can't just buy every single car upgrade as they become available, I have to pick just one at a time that I think will help me the most.

I have heard this before too although I have never tested as I dont care but I am very skeptical.

Thanks for the info, guys, this helps me out a lot. :)

At Jeet's I gave 500 for the first pile and was asked to give 1500 for the 2nd but didn't do it.
At Gutgash I'm asked for 1500 for the first pile but haven't given it so I don't know about the second.

-----------------------------

It seems that each stronghold is a little different and you don't know how much you have to give for each pile until you've paid for the previous one.

I think it probably is about achievement since there is no difference in how often I get scrap and can refill canteena, eat, or have my gas tank refilled although I did notice there are more people in the stronghold, so I guess you can say it's cosmetic too.

I'm not going to spend anymore scrap on this until maybe at the very end if I have more scrap than I can use myself.

-----------------------------

D4eaming,

Holding back on buying upgrades can work as a way to challenge yourself while also acquiring an achievement.

No,, each stockpile should be the same,,500, 1000, 1500

I dont know why your getting different

Edit: You most likely alreayd upgraded and forgot you did as theres realy no way to mod the game or anything else. Or you have some wierd hacked version although I can see you own the game.

When you have built your stockpile in a camp and have completed the scrap crew and other projects, you gain daily scrap. If you completed all 4 projects in all 4 areas/Strongholds you can earn 2000 scrap a day if you are logged onto WB Games. By this point Scrap is just Scrap. You need it no more.

Completing projects reduces the time between refills from stronghold. At the beginning it was 30 minutes for me and now it is only 10, with only medium and large stockpile remaining to complete, so I guess if I finish them the time is going to be reduced further. Stockpiles probably work like other projects, question is whether all 3 stockpiles are worth 1 project or 3 projects, in terms of time reduction.

You get 500 scrap per 26 hrs or so for each camp. 4 camps running will give you 2000 scrap per day or round that number. You will never spend this much throughout the game.

Lies. The v8 alone requires 16k scrap to upgrade.
