Spell Efficiency
Is there a guide anywhere to how spell efficiency works? I read the discussion from May but that seems to imply that the main difference would be spell damage. However, in my games the spell damage for chaos spells is unchanged when i add the "scion of chaos" perk.

Not sure if i'm just missing something or if there is a bug or something stopping it working.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks

The damage difference is not applied to tooltips, but should be noticable in combat.

Thanks so much for your reply, really appreciate it.

It may be that I'm not understanding how the combat damage is calculated, but I'm not noticing the damage increase currently. I'll run through how I understand the damage calculation and if I'm just misunderstanding something please tell me.

So, in a recent battle I was up against a Goblin Tinker, with S.RES of 1. I used my Negative Energy spell, with a damage of 18-23. This did 17 points of damage.

My assumption that I rolled 18 points damage, and lost 1 point of that due to the S.RES. So, leaving 17 points of damage. Makes sense.

But I've got the Scion of Chaos perk, so i figure this should be multiplied by 1.15, which would be 19.55 points of damage (and presumably rounded up to 20). No matter which order i do the calculation in, I can't seem to make it add up to the 17 points of damage.

Happy to provide screenshots in case that's helpful (I'm playing on mobile incidentally).

I just checked and it turns out Negative Energy is incorrectly assigned the elemental spell tag, instead of chaos. I'll try to push an update asap.
