Hammer of the paladin and divine favor

I don't know if this is a bug or what, but the text on the description of the item is very clear to me.... "Gain 3 divine favors instead of 1 when you DESTROY a undead enemy".

Nothing says that I must kill the enemy using melee , why I can't gain the bonus divine favor using some magic (but obviously with the hammer equipped).

Or at least using light magic with the hammer equipped.

If this is not a bug, and I am taking too serious the description, I'm sorry... but I think that would be cool to fix this.

It's not a bug. It's plain common sense that you need to use that hammer to gain that bonus. It's the same with any bonus grante by or listed on a weapon i.e. the damage bonus of a mace vs. undead monsters.

But I'm using the weapon... It's equipped, I'm not just using the phisical attack...

And that's the point. If you want to get that bonus on the weapon to work you have to whack something with it.
