The ending is really cool!
On the ground level, the skeletons that you're given should be able to hold the first few waves, giving you time to get out a few walking armours. I prefer to get out at least one shaman before summoning any green armours. But red armours requires red essences, so just put out those as soon as possible. I usually don't bother with melee skeletons after I have all the armours, they are just a waste of essences by then.
Finally, deadly cloud which Harnakon has on skill slot 2 is totally ridiculous. 2-3 of those into a wave of enemies usually kills them outright. Then your minions will mop up any remaining stuff. You should regenerate enough essences for 3+ clouds between each wave so only save those essences if you want to have a buffer for skeletons.
Once the dragons arrive, just unleash a couple of clouds on the ground level and then take the dragons down using frostbolts. The dragons themselves usually focus the red armours which are pretty much immune to their attacks. You also want to spread out your shamans a bit, as the catapults that come later on can easily wipe out them all if they are too clumped up.
This works great on Hard++ so I'd imagine that it's viable on lower difficulties as well.
Seems that if you put the healing mages around the center of the floor level with a few ice blocks in the way they are mostly safe to do their job, while the Fire and Green Armors tank up most of the damage, with Mage and Archer support from the back ledges.. You spam the deadly cloud spell a few times to kil the elf mages and archers.
Once the trees come into play, switch to the Axe and let thee armors battle them. You jump around back and whack them a few times with the Axe to finish off the mob. That bought me enough time to finally finish the game.
