unepic neuron library boss, UNFAIR MECHANIC!!!

playing this boss was one of the most #@$#@ experiance of my life and this is why.

during the fight Neuron will force you to through out your potions. after seeing this any rational player would then kill themselves and drop all there potions on the ground before the fight starts.

HOWEVER, Neuron will force you to telliport home near the end of the fight which erases anything that you dropped on the ground. The game doesnt tell you that you have to drop your halo during the fight, or even give a hint. The game just unfarly erased all my potions.

Has this happened to anyone else.

Yes, he forced me to teleport too but my pots and stuff never disappeared. Neuron is IMO one of the best bosses in the game because it forces you to think outside the box.

Dropping your Essence, your Halo, your potions, etc will prevent neuron from making you use them

and theres a chance they werent erased, but stolen by the theives

neuron is very very easy in the end, the biggest threat to you in that fight is yourself

if you are worried about losing the items, you can drop them in the bank, hell it might be a little foreshadowing if you think about it, both are accessed with the library key

It's a fun battle. Just don't wear the items that the boss makes you use/waste.

The game was fun up until him. This is by far one of the worst and most unfun boss fights ever made. I have not talked to one person who did not have to look up how to beat this guy online. That tells you it is an extremely bad design for a fight.

No it tells you when people are too lazy to figure out how to beat Neuron by themselfs. All they can say is "waah! unfair!" when all of a sudden a giant brain acts like a mind control device, making them do things they don't want to do.

Dont believe to those who tells that ANY boss in any finished game is anfair, especialy in platformers as good as UNepick. Actualy NEURON was furst REALY INTRESTING enemy in side-scroller metroidvania platformer for last 3 or 4 years of gamedev. Original mechanic pushing player to actualy THINK about what (s)he (player) doing wrong. Neuron is great Boss and one of greatest idea for Boss Battle. Whoever thinks opposite or unbeliever (burn him\her on witchfire! lol) or just another mindless casualist. U want simple ebemies and bosses? Go play WOW or something in same maner, platformers like UNepick are not for u.

oh yeah, i hate him.
I put all my stuff in the bank and fight only with axe and green powder.(+5 speed potions)
The first minutes in the fight i use speed potions before my character is crazy.

Neuron wasn't so bad, he forced me to change my entire build though to include a melee weapon but so far not a bad decision really. It was fun and unique, if you think Neuron was bad just wait for some other portions T_T

newtron was anoying but if u found the bank u can just put all ur stuff in there, it isnt that long of a walk to get ther and without all that stuff newtron isnt that tough

Also you can get your stolen stuff at once if you are lucky enough with teleport scroll drop from thieves

It's probably worth baiting and killing theives for the teleport scroll as E-mail suggests - else the creator of the game has been known to assist with bugs, he used to recover guardian keys that dropped into spike pits IIRC

Just kill some thieves and get a scroll to teleport to their sex-cave. There you will find all your items they ever took from you.

Once you have figured out to essentially ditch all your potions etc, the fight is easy, but that is the point

My only criticism of Neuron is that his HP is very high. Once you've worked out how to beat him (which takes a good 5 or 6 failed attempts, with new mechanics appearing each time) it's a chore to finally get to the killing.

Yeah Perigee, that's when I ditched my bows and magic build and improvised a Bows/Mace/Healing build instead. The only thing it forced me to change is I'm spending less points on Alteration magic than I originally intended to.
