Any tips for this boss?
Try to alternate between the top three platforms closest to the wall to avoid the burning rays. When I began the encounter, I spammed Death Cloud across the bottom level before running to the top platforms; the snakes fell apart as the bastard flew up to greet me. Once you've dealt with the snakes, focus on the eye and use whatever hits hardest until the ghosts start spawning. Keep a fire aura active to deal with the spooks and use the ice missile spell (ghosts are immune and won't intercept those attacks).
I've got about 10 antidotes in case I get poisoned, but so what - if I try to drink one, I'll get hit by another poison missile. So frustrating.
If you've got a decent bow you should be okay, but I imagine it'll take a while. This reminds me of my frustrations with Neuron. This would be an excellent time to use the Orb if you've still got it.
Yeah, you have to kill off the snakes before you can damage the central eye. Fireball only takes five points in fire magic, but eats through red powder. That said, it hits multiple targets and burns for a time. Speed and regeneration potions sound like your best bet instead of worrying about antidotes.
I found a relatively safe spot under the top two floating platforms and used that respite to heal, but it only works when the head rises and starts torching everything with the rays. Thankfully, this spot falls just above its range. Unfortunately, the lower snakes can easily hit you there, so you'll have to finish those off before any rhythm can develop.
I'm kind of getting hold of the pattern... My last attempt, the tergeting system wouldn't work for some reason. It didn't last very long.
