Btw., I use a wired XBox 360 pad.^^
Rebinding works indeed for moving around, BUT when you open the ingame inventory, inside that menu the horizontal/vertical movement is inverted again (more specifically, the inventory shows the "correct" behavior that we inverted to get the character movement right).
Climbing ladders is troublesome with the controller. I found out why:
When moving towards a ladder and pressing UP, the character refuses to climb the ladder. He will only start climbing when the stick completely returns to neutral position and THEN you press UP again. This should be looked into as it results in not so "tight" controls, wich is the reason I want to use a gamepad in the first place ;)
*edit*
It needs to be said though: I am REALLY enjoying this so far :)
Go to "Options->Gameplay->Calibrate Controller" from the Main Menu.
Do not rebind your controls.
Just go through the whole calibration process and everything will work fine, as I said yesterday.^^
What a terrible place to put controller options.
