Why so high the ping of this game? And LAG SPIKES?

When I play with players of other country my ping is high, when I play with a friend is in the same city I have tons and tons of LAG SPIKES?! Sometimes this freeze. But this don't only with me, when other friend host for me is the same, only the host don't have lag.

This game is very fun, but I buy this ONLY for multiplayer, but playing with this high ping or lag spikes is BAD.

And sometime items don't work, like Scroll of Meeting (yes, I know the restrictions!).

800 h on the game never had any bug with items, never had a lot of connection problems with ppl in the same country than me. You probably just have a bad connection
Try to change your DNS (google it if you dont know its easy)

800hrs of Multiplayer?
Gratz! You are a lucky guy, because all players I speak in the game say the same problem.

Playing with my friend (of the same city) I have =~0.04 of ping, but sometimes have a lag spike to =~7.04, this isn't normal.

Playing with players of other country I have =~0.6, when spike go for =~7.7.

My connection is of 5MB (500Kb per second), I check every time the connection and is fine in the same time of Lag and Lag Spikes.

The Dev need check the connection system/scripts for Multiplayer.

UnEpic uses Steam's own network services for it's multiplayer so one option would be to pick a Steam server closer to your town.
