I just started a new character in hard++ for the last 2 challenges I need to finish; he got Spaceball for tough spots like bosses and the Mummy wraps armor for +15 lifereg (he'll get at least healing 3 for regeneration, but the armor might be useful for the first half of the game).
Edit: I'm in the sewers right now and love the mummy wrappings at hard++ (and polearms for the distance). The worm was not one-hitted by my Spaceball; I guess that boss has about 2500 hitpoints.
Sometimes I use it as a meatshield (or Doomstar Shield ^^ ); sometimes it catches fireballs or orc attacks. Spaceball got many hitpoints (maybe 2000 himself?), so he can take a few blows.
I cursed at the dodging challenge, too; but it's incredibly unfair at the start of the game and gets much easier later. Having a speed buff (spell or several potions) helps dodging and one pet found in the halls can "stun" the boulders and reduce the number of falling rocks greatly (there can only be 4 boulders at the same time and stunned ones count towards this number).
You'll also need more than one character to finish them all (might be possible with one, but it's unlikely). For example: My first character unlocked all the challenges and my potions master collected 18 potions until he as at the catacomb boss. Then I respecced him and made "Death, lvl 1" with him. Another one skipped a few rooms, did not learn frost magic etc. and rushed through the game for the Crow challenge.
The former potions master was my backup plan for the long way to Minerary challenge, but my "Crow" char made it after finishing the Crow (my first char saved manually in the middle of the escord and ruined that run).
Right now im on my way to try "Eye for an eye". I'm hopeing that with a maxed Fire/Healing Mage I can pull it off easy. ^.^
