Multiple Endings?

So, I found out this game has multiple endings. So I have some questions

1: What choices affect your ending?
2: What are some of the endings? Not too much detail please.
3: Is there just one choice at the end, or does the whole game affect the ending?

The chests which you have to choose one of three and receive a key from will dictate which ending you get. Nothing else matters apart from the key that you receive.
