What do we do with surplus quest items?

So this has happened to me 3 times so far, and i've stored them in the bank but i'd like an answer seeing how the dev is involved with the discussions :)

First time it was with gathering wood. Second time with gathering blank papers. Third time there is actually a bonus dark amulet in the catacombs, which you can sell for 4 coins. And you can also buy it from the unepic trader. Well, no harm done of course, i'm just wondering if there's more to it than just "drop them".

Nop, there's nothing to do with them, but you can keep then in bank if you want.
