In an effort to create a more fair and balanced NBA 2K24 experience for all players on PC, please be aware that some new protections have recently been implemented. Players who attempt to play NBA 2K24 for PC while running cheating tools or unauthorized third-party software may now be redirected to the NBA 2K Player Code of Conduct web page or experience gameplay limitations in which passing the ball becomes unsuccessful.

If you encounter either of these, please ensure that you do not have any cheating tools or unauthorized third-party software installed that could be affecting NBA 2K24. For further assistance, please contact 2K Support: https://support.2k.com/

Even if you're not actively using anything on the game, it sounds like you probably have some kind of software being detected that could affect the game, even if you're not using it for that.

First of all, delete the "mods" folder and verify your files. Other than modding or cheat programs, the following may need to be disabled to play the game based on this thread:

• Google Drive
  
• Turning off all graphic-related options for 2K24 in the NVIDIA control panel software (NOT the Geforce Experience one).
  
• NahimicSvc64.exe
  
• AMD Adrenalin
  
• MobilePre Audio device monitor
  
• VPN software

Zeokage, how about you tell whoever did this change, is ridiculous. For a person who doesnt play multiplayer and just grinds myteam for cards, this fantastic glitch that exists now makes the game literally unplayable. I hope you are able to understand that. Even if i go in to play regular singleplayer quick match the glitch still is there. Why would the ball glitch affect single player lol. I understand this was added to affect people who are cheating but you are ruining people's experience who are simply playing singleplayer. Nor am i trying to do this and that to try and fix what you guys did. I've went in and deleted the mod folder and verified my files but i may get 1 or 2 days out the week where the game doesnt have this glitch. Any other day I run into this making the game Non-playable... Loading screen stuck at 70% and playing such a scuffed version of the game dealing with the ball glitch. This new thing has wrongfully affected people who are just trying to play the game casually. Hope you are able to hear me out on this. The experience is actually so bad. Any other game (that i use the same controller on) has absolutely no issues. I find that interesting.

7/31/2024 - After multiple attempts to complete the 50 point challenges. I completely wiped my system. New install Windows 10. Steam. 2k24. That's it. Nothing else. No nahalmic services, no AMD software (nvidia), no GFE, no nothing at all.

Now I can't even make it through a 4 minute quarter pickup game in myTeam.

2k can say whatever they'd like. What they have is an unmitigated bug that they want to call a "security feature" because they clearly can't seem to handle that aspect of the game.

This is a list of things I've tried to fix this damn pass glitch (and I will keep trying, if only because I paid money for this game). I'll continue updating the list.

1. Why does the pass glitch happen?

- It seems the pass glitch (also known as the pass Yo-Yo) is a result of some kind of anti-cheat mechanism designed by 2K. At least, that’s the explanation given by 2K.

2. What exactly is the issue?

- The glitch occurs in all single-player modes in NBA 2K24. It happens mid-1st quarter or mid-3rd quarter, where passing just stops working. (I don't play online modes, so I'm not sure if this also happens in MyTeam, Career, or other online content.)
My setup:

- AMD 5900x CPU, Nvidia 3080ti GPU, Windows 10. I only play single-player (MyLeague only). I've been playing single-player every year since 2K14, so this pass glitch is especially baffling to me this year.

4. What I've tried so far (and still trying):

I've tried most of the suggestions mentioned in this discussion and on Reddit. Here’s a rundown:

- Running 2K24 as an administrator: No effect.

- Disabling NahimicService.exe: I don’t have this service, so that’s a pass.

- Lowering CPU usage: I read somewhere that the bug could be triggered by high CPU usage. I closed other programs, but the pass bug still occurred even with low usage (30%-40%).

- Going offline on Steam: This seemed promising since it would avoid any anti-cheat issues. However, the same bug appeared even in offline mode.

- Deleting the mods folder in the 2K24 directory: Seemed like a good idea, but no luck.

- Closing potentially conflicting programs: I shut down all game server programs like EA, Blizzard, etc., but the bug still persisted.

- Instant replay/camera switch: I saw on Reddit that this could temporarily fix the issue, but it didn't work for me.

-Countless reinstalls and integrity checks: I'm tired of even mentioning it. None of these worked as a solution. I even cleared all download caches within Steam, but it made no difference

I would be a real irony if this glitch is actually caused by some anticheat attempt on 2K's behalf.

After numerous attempts, I finally found a solution to this damn pass glitch. I read countless posts about this bug on the internet, but in the end, I found the solution on a Korean site (famous for gaming).

Solution: Install Avast Free Antivirus -> Run a Smart Scan -> Fix the identified issues.

The key here is that Avast identifies an issue related to Google. It seems there is definitely a conflict between Google Drive and 2K24's security solution.

Best of luck to everyone, except 2K.
(PS. Just to be clear, this isn't an Avast ad. You can delete Avast right after running the Smart Scan. There's no need to continue with any paid services afterward.)

After numerous attempts, I finally found a solution to this damn pass glitch. I read countless posts about this bug on the internet, but in the end, I found the solution on a Korean site (famous for gaming).

Solution: Install Avast Free Antivirus -> Run a Smart Scan -> Fix the identified issues.

The key here is that Avast identifies an issue related to Google. It seems there is definitely a conflict between Google Drive and 2K24's security solution.

Best of luck to everyone, except 2K.
(PS. Just to be clear, this isn't an Avast ad. You can delete Avast right after running the Smart Scan. There's no need to continue with any paid services afterward.)

Preliminary results regarding this method.

I installed Avast free. The only free detection it made was Data Execution Prevention being set to local. Which is true, because I run a development environment. Which if I had to guess, is going to be true of everyone experiencing this bug.

After re-enabling DEP and rebooting, I have since been able to recover different saves that have been locked into persistent passing bugs.

If you are hesitant to install and try Avast. You can probably get the same effect by just re-enabling DEP.

My guess is that this was some kind of low level very cheap method of detecting if unsigned scripts have the potential to be run, if they are. Trigger glitch mode.

And then the idiots at 2k inherited a game, and nobody told them.

How can cheating apps on your pc affect nba2k25 if your not running it the only cheating tool I have is wemod but it doesn't actually work with nba2k25 are you saying that nba2k25 can detect that the cheating tool is on my pc even though I can't use it for that game
