My Monitor is in 60hz
The Game settings are set to 60hz / Full Screen / Low w/ Reduced Shadows
I have no mods installed, as I said it's a fresh install on a new PC
This is seriously so mind boggling to me.
We're in the year 2024 and you're telling me that I can't even get games to work as a fresh install anymore?
I mean this is just beyond ridiculous and unacceptable as neither Visual Concepts, 2K, Valve or the NBA is taking any sort of responsibility for this clear and blatant scam.
Have you tried other window options instead of Full Screen?
I've tried Windowed Borderless and Windowed.
Nothing changed.
Is this happening everywhere or just in a particular mode or area?
Sent off a ticket to 2K a little while ago. Sadly this is happening everywhere.
As I mentioned this was a fresh install (bought today) and on booting it went from 100+ to 2FPS and would take over a minute to register any of my inputs if it registered them at all.
Nothing I've done in terms of changing the settings has improved the quality at all.
I just finished installing Windows 11 hoping maybe that might help, but no such luck.
It did the same with me i have a RTX 4070 and i had 15 fps because the game used my radeaon integrated gpu.
To fix your problem if you are on windows 11 : right click on windows flag / alimentation options/ games /graphics / browse / and finally select your nba2k.exe wherever it is installed , it will add it to the aplication list below then select it and click on high performance, by doing that the game will use your correct GPU.
I hope it will help you man because nobody helped me i had to find the fix myself all the 2k people working at the support dont care or are not aware of their own product, they always go for generic anwsers they are there to get their salary and thats it. We can only count on ourseleves the community.
Have fun
This is definitely a potential solution.
Lightingservice.exe was apparently causing issues with the game and not letting it run properly...
Further research into the topic has found the following info for me;
Aura Lighting Services is poorly optimised and is causing memory leaks. These memory leaks is what's causing the lag for NBA 2K24. Users should either fully delete or disable the service before playing if they want to avoid the issue I was running into.
