So, did they improve or have a better MyCareer?
Being hopeful someone says it is better than previous MyCareer modes, so can anyone comment?

I hated how they called you MP even after changing name to one they can actually say in the game.

That sucks to know...

They removed every single cutscene this year. There is no mention of the GOAT story, not a single text message referring to it. It's just play the next game after the other this time. They didn't even bother to change our draft #, our player is referred to as the 18th pick of the year (which is where we were in 2k23, this MP is supposed to be #1).

This MP is supposed to be nothing since we dont have a Story

Unless you really are craving a basketball game, don't even bother. I only bought it because I've been playing 2k21 for the last 3 years, and this :DSTpoop: company shuts down the servers if the game was made more than 2 years ago, so if I had 2k23, I would just stick to it until next year. Like I'm sure next year they won't make it even worse than it is now... right?

I wrote a lengthy review about my experience with 2k23. What a massive letdown. I built a nice 98 OVR SF, which won rookie of the year, MVP of the year, MVP in the finals. Yet attemtping to start a 2nd season, I received trash offers for VC salary and a spot on all other team's bench (except the team I played for, which offered average VC and franchise player designation). That literally makes me never want to touch a 2K game again, unless I buy it dirt cheap from somewhere.

And as you pointed out, the idea of them shutting down servers makes me not bother to repeat a multiple seasons with my career.

I mean you can if you have fun, I sure did in 2k21 until they shut down the servers. I also like MyLeague so that's part of why I stuck to 2k21 for so long.
So yeah don't even bother with this one... we just gotta hope next year they either give us the next gen version (not gon happen) or at least some story and updates in MyCareer and cracking down on microtransactions, since they have paid season passes now

It's clear they don't care about pc and current gen but if they ignore all the negative reviews and next year and the same repeats... it's clear something as to happen, like a boycott, since mainstream media doesn't care since they all play in next gen consoles

I personally don't care for all the Next gen people are clamoring about. I just want a solid franchise or mycareer mode that doesn't require online, when I'm not playing against other people anyways. Where the free agency system works where AI doesn't make any crazy trades or my player doesn't get dumb offers like a roster spot on the bench after having a historical run in a season.

I commend you for sticking with 2k21. I was actually going to try at least one more season but just have no desire to continue knowing the servers will go offline.

What about MyLeague with Player Lock?
TheRogueFedora Dec 4, 2023 @ 4:08pm
On the bright side, you don't start on the bench this time. They start you from day 1 even if you're a 60 Ov.

Is that really a bright side... it's unrealistic. Plus, I tested it, and even if you average less than 2 points they give you full control of the line up and stuff, just no bright sides imo in this year's MyCareer

That's fair. MyCareer won't ever be realistic like that though, at least in current gen. Unless you care a lot about MyCareer, you better just stick to MyLeague for a while even if servers are down, better than buying this crap at least this year.
