NBA 2K24 - game is not starting at all
hey everyone,

im having issues with the game, i did everything i know, nothing worked..

the game aint starting after i try to double click on the icon or running it from steam.
ive tried- reinstall the gpu driver, reinstall the game, disabling anti virus, several restarts.

ive opened a ticket in 2K support and waiting for an agent to reach out to me, i dont really know what else to do and really want to play the damn game.. very unfortunate that they have so many problems at the release.. it happens every year..

Here's my full set of usual questions which may or may not help, but it's the basics...

Have you verified your files?
Have you deleted all mods and/or third party tools, even from previous games?
Is your Windows updated to the latest version?
Are the drivers for your graphics card updated?
Have you tried reinstalling all the C++ Redistributables (and potentially the .NET Framework)?
Have you tried reinstalling the game?
Have you tried reinstalling Steam?

NVIDIA has its GeForce Game Ready Driver application that might be able to confirm things.

I had the same problem, and I found a very strange solution. I disconnected all the USB ports on the device and then plugged the mouse back in. When I turned on the game, it worked. Upon further research, I discovered that if I connect the keyboard while the game is running, it doesn't work, and if I connect the keyboard first and then turn on the game, it crashes.

What keyboard was the cause?

pretty odd solution but make sense with all the bugs 2k give to the customer every season..
unfortunately, that didnt help my situation..
