I don't see "public controllers"
I can enable steam input for Xbox controllers, Switch Pro Controllers and Generic controllers. I can also enable Playstation controller support

Controller suddenly not working anymore. Mapping weird

So suddenly my Controller just wont work anymore. I tried everything you can find on the Internet. Steam Input on and off, Unplugged Keyboard etc etc.

Xbox Buttons now show up as "2" "3" and are switched up randomly and so on.

Anybody got any idea that's not so widespread?

Go to the device manager.... And find Monect HID Device.... U need to disable some of them ( IDK exactly wchich one) and will be working

for button "4" in menu the bind is "page up key" or "page down key" from keyboard for button 1 i don't know which button it is

Wrong button layout showing up Xbox One controller

My button layout is changed from the Xbox One controls to some weird layout: in the menu, what used to be the (B) button now shows as (3), and it activates when I press the (X) button on my controller, the left and right stick no longer do anything and some buttons now show LF1, LF2, RF1, RF2, LC, RC etc.

I don't have any other controllers plugged in or any other controller drivers, the Xbox One controller is the only one.

I didn't do anything, it just changed at random. How do I get the layout back?

Steam > Settings > Controller > External Gamepad Settings > PlayStation Controller Support > Not Enabled
Library > WWE 2K24 > Manage > Properties > Controller > Disable Steam Input

No, it didn't help.
I have two OS installed on my PC: Windows 10 and Windows 11. In Win 10, the buttons are mixed up; in Win 11, everything is okay. I think there is something wrong with the previously installed programs or drivers. But finding the culprit behind the problems is difficult!
By the way, the good old NBA 2K17 worked well with the gamepad (and the career mode was more interesting).

This fix is specifically for those who are having issues mapping LT & RT as LB & RB which works in game BUT not in 2k24 menu

**BEFORE FOLLOWING THE STEPS BELOW
-- reset your in-game control mapping AND delete any current Steam Input data
-- do not edit while in an actual game. being in the menu is OK

1. Enable Steam Input
2. Edit Layout
3. Buttons
LB - Left Trigger
RB - Right Trigger
4. Triggers > Input the following commands:

RIGHT TRIGGER BEHAVIOR - click and select 'Create a mode shift'
then ensure that the settings below are the same:
RIGHT TRIGGER BEHAVIOR - Trigger
RT Full Pull - Right Bumper
RT Soft Pull - Right Bumper
RIGHT TRIGGER (MODE SHIFT) - Trigger
RT Full Pull - Right Bumper
RT Soft Pull - Right Bumper

LEFT TRIGGER BEHAVIOR - click and select 'Create a mode shift'
then ensure that the settings below are the same:
LEFT TRIGGER BEHAVIOR - Trigger
LT Full Pull - Right Bumper
LT Soft Pull - Right Bumper
RIGHT TRIGGER (MODE SHIFT) - Trigger
LT Full Pull - Right Bumper

once done, click the gear icon beside Right Trigger Behavior
Analog Output Trigger - Analog Off
do the same to Left Trigger Behavior

Dude, did you managed to solve it? I have exactly the same problem in 2k21 and in 2k22, which one is installed on epic and the second on steam. Those are the only games that suddenly remapped the inputs, my controller is working completely fine with other games.
