[Guide] How to Add Items to Shops

I started modding Kenshi a few days ago. This is just a simple step-by-step guide about adding items to shops. Hope this help!

Kenshi Version: 0.95.14



- Add Items to Shops -

1. Start Kenshi, select 'Launch Game Editor', click 'PLAY'.
2. Click 'Create new mod file', give your mod a name, e.g. 'Add Items'. Click 'Create'.
3. Make sure your mod is checked and *ACTIVE*, click 'DONE'.
4. Ignore and close the error window. In window 'Game World', click 'Vendor List', double click a vendor, e.g. 'armor vendor holy'.
5. Select the item type you want to add in the drop-down list, e.g. 'clothing'. Click 'Add'.
6. Select the item(s) you want to add. Ctrl or Shift click to add multiple items. Then click 'OK'.
7. Edit the number, e.g. '100' next to items to increade or decrease spawn chance.
8. Ctrl + s to save your mod.
9. Start game with your mod, go to vendor and they might sell the item you added.

To give my characters best weapons and armor...



- Add the Best Weapon Grade to Weapons Vendor -

1. Open a vendor, select 'weapon manufactures', click 'Add', then add 'Cross'. Now vendor might sell Cross Grade weapons.
2. In window 'Game World', 'items > Weapons > Manufacturer', double click 'Cross'. Make sure the weapons you want is listed under 'weapon types'. For example, 'topper' is not listed so vendor will not sell Cross grade topper. Add it if you want.



- Set Armor Vendor to Sell Masterpiece Armor -

1. In window 'Game World', click 'Faction'. Double click the faction you want to change, e.g. 'The Holy Nation'.
2. On the left, under 'armor verndor quality chance', set 'armors 5' to 100. 'armors 5' is masterpiece grade. You can also set others to 0.



- Increase Vendor Item Capacity / Modify Price -

1. After selecting a faction, on the right, under 'residents', double click a vendor
2. On the left, under 'vendors', set 'vendors fill total amount' to increase capacity. Set 'buy mult' to modify price.
