For me, every time the Holy Nation attacked that outpost, they'd start in one of their southern towns (Stack, I think), go all the way up to Rebirth for some reason, then make their way back down where I was below Squin. Odd pathing, to say the least.
To some degree, it would be a cash grab. However, they spent years developing Kenshi, and most of the money involved in it has dried up. If you think about it, if they just spend the next year or two patching it, they'd run out of money and go bankrupt. If they actually develop a second game, and use the knowledge and experience they'd gained from the first one, and actually make a higher-quality product from it, you should be happy to buy the second one. You can't really expect that they'll just keep patching the first game forever for free until the quality is to your expectations.
Kenshi is a pretty entertaining game, and one that I've spent many hours on. It has a ton of bugs and abuses, but considering the development scale for most of its progress, that's to be expected. I definitely got my money's worth out of it though, and I don't have a problem paying for a second one, as long as it actually has effort put into its development, and isn't a scummy cash-grab. If the sequel actually lives up to the potential that the first one had, I'd be more than happy to pay for it.
