has anyone experienced screeching-esque noises through a headset while playing kenshi? the reason i ask is i have experienced it twice now, with two different headset (one of which i've only had a few days). first it with my corsair voids (a crackling screeching, so high pitch it hurts) and now with a pair of seinhessurs (sp), but this time it is much more subtle like white noise with no crackling.

both instances can be stopped simply by closing kenshi, and i've never experienced it in another game. at first i just figured my voids were going bad, as i'm pretty rough with my equipment, but just a second ago the seinhessurs did it for the first time after having them for 3 days now. sure enough right when i closed kenshi it stopped. i'm currently playing on the experimental branch but have had it happen on stable too

Me too, when I turn on the game there is a crackling high pitch screech. When I minimize the game it stops. When I bring the game back up it resumes.

did you notice you doing anything in particular? i just had it happen again from an import, can't remember what it started from the other times. didn't think about minimizing tho so it's gotta be something to do w/ the active window and not just the program running

No, I didn’t do anything different. I just booted up the game and it started screeching. I play anew save every time there is a new update.

I have this same issue, it is awful

I had the same bug but I found a way to fix it.
Dont know if it'll work for others but I explain if for any future player experimenting this.

First I have to launch the game with the V-sync option activated.
When I'm on the main menu, I press alt + tab, wich switch on my steam window, then I go back on kenshi and the screeching sound is gone.

I really have to do theses two things, if I do just one the sound remain.
Tbh I was going to refund it because the sound is too annoying, now I can finally try this game
