Can your city/base/building be destroyed by a raid?

I tried the "Freedom Seekers" start, and I've noticed that 3 members of the group are crawling under the weight of whatever they are carrying! I tried to reach a city, but got ambushed and couldn't run away since those poor fellows were too slow. So, I thought I could use the mats to start building, and then go explore. If I leave my buildings, will they be destroyed by raiders?

Not atm. Eventually large armies will attack your base for whatever reasons like wanting money, etc, but that's not implemented yet. Though not sure if they will ever be able to destroy your buildings.

My town has been attacked a few times by warbands of 10-30 men, and they have never been able to destroy my buildings, however this may change in futures releases.

I've also left My Town to attack other Towns and have come back to find everything intact, and I had been away for a few days.

Most I've seen of building destruction is a group of bandits trying to get to one of my guys behind a locked door while the rest of my squad was out and about. Easily repaired though.

As far as I understand only doors and gates(when they get re-implemented) can be "destroyed" by banidits trying to kill any of your guys that are behind a locked door. But it wont be permanent damage since you can just repair it with no building materials.
