I'm not sure the dev is going to add a Mac OS version anytime soon. Maybe after the game is released. Anyway, have you thought of using boot camp to install Win7 on your Mac?

Im a poor student... I would like to install Win7, but I have to buy one more key. And I dont have that much money. :( But I will when I got the money! :)

It wont work, because steam does not download windows version on mac

Lol the effort to make a mac version is insane, its easier, and cheaper to buy you a pc, and teach you how to play games before they are finished, then ported to mac. Gaming on mac still makes me laugh, its like a kid watching a grown up eat an ice cream cone and begging for the same cone. This is why if I ever got an apple for some insane reason I would still keep my pc, no point in an apple if you want to do more then play media, and run facebook apps.

Oh and it would work with an emulator, I know most apple users like it easy, but you can buy it directly from the guy for less money, and simply download his non steam version with an autoupadter. It was kind of a pain whe nI downloaded it for the demo though, I had to set up permisions for each key file since for some reason changing my user t owner didn't add my user to the access list for them... Oh and you got to run it as admin wich be defualt it doesn't do with the download installer, have to tweak the launcer properties a bit...

Buy non Steam, install Vine, do everything in the console ... honestly, it's not worth it

Lawl. Don't cry dude, just understand you ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up in the first place when you bought an Apple product. Just don't make the same mistake twice :)

Please stop the Apple bashing. Justified or not it isn't helpful to the thread discussion.

There are products available for developers such as Cider that make porting to OS X relatively easy in some cases. Much more difficult is keeping up with the added workload of releasing and testing patches on multiple platforms. This extra work requires time that a small dev team or solo developer may not be able to manage along with other demands on their time. After the product is ready for release and patches become infrequent then porting becomes a more viable option for small developers.

This is one reason why many games have been released for Mac OS X or Linux several months after the Windows release. Concurrent development and release is possible but easier for larger developers and for products that will not have frequent patches.

I think its planned (could be wrong) to be done sometime in the future but not anytime soon i'm afraid. I think Chris (the great) will be doing it when its in a more stable position for windows. I am assumeing most of this but I reccomend you head over to Lofi games and check the FAQ or something!
Its a shame that the mac users are missing out on such a great game!

Please don't stop apple bashing like or not you have a choice. And with an alpha devolpers have to finish the game before they redo it for mac. You want the game first you have to go the extra mile. Don't every one else by wasting man hours every patch when we don't even have sound yet so they can make you happy and make 12 dollars off you one time.

If you noticed the engine is older then cider, cider costs money for the devolper this his first game to my knowledge. So basicly you want him to go out of his way to save you like 4 hours of work, and add in an extra 500 or so hours as he rewrites each patch al lthe way to 1.0 for mac.

I know mac makes you feel specail, but its like the Wii of computer inustry. You get some titles, there is software, but its more of a pain then a blessing to use them as a devoloper unless you expected sales into the thousands for you product. The cider licenses alone would be covered by what the devoloper would maek from new sales at this stage. Wich means he has to dip out of pocket for apple users to play a very unfinished game, and has to do more work on top of paying more.

Its like me telling you to by a coffee maker, and brew your own coffee, and linking you a 400 dollar machine, when you buy one cup a month. Except this is cositng the devolper money at all. If you gonna buy this for mac you would pay more for the finished product becuase it is sure to be awsome then if he did it now and got like 10 bucks if hes lucky becuase has to pay steam and others a cut. So I can totaly feel why indie games pick one, and wait for full realese or a price jump before buying expensive software to convet.

Meanwhile I got a 500 dollar pc that plays this fine... that is like what at best 20 hours of work to pay for? Like budgeting for a whole month if your money is tighter. I am upgrading right now, and I have income of under 200 month after bills, and can afford to get a pc for gaming... plus uprade it before BF4 is released lol
