Enemy attacking killing workers.
I persoanlly have not had to much trouble, but i am good at keeping over watch. Some people have issues of bandits getting into town and dropping workers before fighters can even get over to help.
A tip for this is to just build a nice long wall channel for an entrance. Force the enemies to only have the one corrider in. This way you can buy more time.Curently walls are cheap to build, so it wont hurt to much.

i usualy build a wall funnle with mutiple gates and build the entrance far away form the actual base that way enemies dont get agroed when they walk past the entrance

Have you set your workers to "non-combat" mode? That is supposed to lower how much aggro they draw. However, i have never used it, so i do not know if it works yet.

it kinda works
Another thing to do is have a guard near by(if you can spare the people), then set him to taunt, he will draw aggro towards him. If he gets into a fight, then you can pull the workers in to help, if they don't automaticly.

I have resolved the problem by giving everyone an armor and an ultimate weapon (plank or katana 1.2) and everyone with an attack order and some, the weakers with a permanent medic order (first order). so when a group of bandits is attacking my open town (no walls for free training) everyone is joining the fight and over time their weapon skills will raise and your workers will become good warriors. and 2 groups of bandits attacking together are quickly dispatched with no casualties my side.
btw to raise the atheltics skill for your men give them several crafting jobs so when a station is idle, they will run to another crafting station, one far away if possible.
In my village you have no walls, and everyone is working and fighting, no room for lazy men.

I keep one men only one of them will have the largest bag to run to town and sell stuff.
And finally watchout with the armors some are giving you a nasty minus to your combat skill.
like the plate helmet -5 and - 2 for the paladin's helmet.
Today you can loot Paladin's armor parts when one is down, loot him before his friends are restoring his health, but that should be fixed in the futur.
You can also train a group of paladin, the best place is the desert near the bandits outpost.
grab as many enemies as possible, bring them to the nearest paladins patrol, wait and loot.

I just use every one for combat and work as well im not good at multi tasking and my workers like to stop working when the jobs que if full can you fix that?( is it shift assign task?) and i make some one who needs strength sell the items.

Right now i can take on about 5 groups in a row but if i leave it on fast forward when the get attacked a few people get knocked out

If you make them have a second job, once they done with their current, like for lack of materials, they will head to the next on the list, untill the one with priority has materials again, i usually do that with exemple my builder, he is a enginer(1) and material builder(2), he is always doing materials but if i place a building project he will stop the build and head to build, once done back to material work, in case there are no rocks he will go to the mine(3).

How do you assign them a job and such haha sorry i just manually make them switch when they need stop working or reassign them to the task
Hbrown Dec 11, 2013 @ 7:06am
Oh you didn´t new? You shift and right click as you give the order, you can see at the order menu the priority of their jobs and which they assigned too.

Dislike that idea, i prefer a center of movement, of both traders and bandits, the place i did supposed to be one, used too, now feels so quiet xD, talking on that i think i found a nice spot to build, total flat, but with other disadvantages unless you protect well which can become advantages, above Heft and close to Shark (i have no idea the distance i found the place trying to head to shark actually), between some hills, i call them snake runs, but can be used to wind generators as they have height, and you can place down the builds, careful just not to be ambushed from above.

Seen both bandits and samurais roaming that place, tho i am yet to see samurais shopping in my shops.

How do the shops work as well i havent tried i usualy just go walk to a town and sell my stufff

Once you have the needed researches, you either buy a building in a town or build your own in your outpost, you need to then make sure both places , town and building are public, and that they have goods to be bought, which for the moment is only bread rum and fabrics if i am not wrong (to me they didn´t bought but seems other people say they do), this are the only itens tradeable at the moment, if you outside town you gona need a good spot where traders do pass.

I say traders because seems other than traders and citizens no one else buys stuff, samurai pass by but seem to ignore.

You click the door of the house, and it will show a price on it if it is for sale.
