Slave start?
How do I loot the stone into my inventory to build strength? It says too far away. Is the stone here not lootable

Will they ever let you go? If I just work forever do they release you because thye do say they will show mercy if you work hard/

They won't release you. You need to covertly raise your skills and get stronger - break out at night and very cautiously sneak around to search for food among the houses and unlock things. Do your best to avoid guards, and if things get worrisome get into a cage and play the slave again. Eventually you can either bust out a bunch of other slaves as a distraction and/or sneak past the guards at night to escape
An easier way to gain strength passively would be to unlock your shackles in a cage and put them into your inventory as each pair is 20kg. The guards will give you a new pair if they are up and about usually, you may need to wait until morning for them to get round to it.

Repeat until you have two pairs in your inventory and just leave things there as hunger will drop your effective strength by 90% at the worst the slavers will allow and three pairs (two in inventory and one equipped) will be enough to be at the 25% xp rate which is the max it can get without carrying someone.
If you work hard and are obedient you will receive their mercy after you die and in your next life, maybe, or you can break free and escape, the choice is yours.

Be wary about actually taking food, though. You won't starve to death so long as you're in NPC custody, but that all changes once you try to escape. It's good to know where the food is so you can take it with you, but if you eat it all and then become hungry again before you're ready to leave, then things will become much much harder!
Every time I was a slave, I only do one thing: knock out training.

As soon as I was able to knock slavers out in their sleep and carry them to the cage, it became a whole different game altogether : )
The shackles on your feet are pretty heavy. Practice lockpick by picking them. Pick them off other slaves. Keep them in your inventory. Pretty sure if you remove your own and get caught, they'll put new ones on you without removing the ones in your inventory so you can collect them that way too.

All those heavy shackles will build your strength.

Don't be afraid of getting beat by guards. Let it happen a lot. You'll build toughness and get some martial arts xp in the process. When you lose, they'll just put you back in a cage and bandage you up.

As a slave you'll be starving all the time. That's fine. Figure out where the food is but don't take it. Wait until you're ready to escape, then grab the food and eat. Wait for the starving/hungry debuffs to clear. Once they are gone, you'll be able to run faster than the guards can (provided you've gained so athletics while slaving away) and escape will be as simple as outrunning the guards and flipping them the bird as you vanish over the horizon.

Food and the like inside most buildings respawn after a couple days. It's probably a good idea to snag high-nutrution foods when possible - worked for me every time I played that start.

Works the same for that one house in The Hub as well as the abandoned village on the north coast, and pretty much any others - exception being container contents.
