Went on to imprison the slaver at the Slave Market and Clownsteady turned to the Peasants which was what was meant to happen. Went back to Slave Farm South and while it SAYS it's owned by the Free Traders, it's defended and occupied by the Slave Traders.
When I was kidnapping Mistress Grace I put a bunch of Slave Traders in cages so they'd not get up and attack me again. I think after flipping to Free Traders it released its 'prisoners' and made them part of the new outpost because I recognise the slavers that now occupy the place and some are in mismatched gear/missing stuff.
Annoyingly they aggro on sight so I'll have to find a way to deal with them.
