ive played for a couple hundred hours by now and i admit i havent seen alot of stuff yet but, where might have i missed a trader that just sells lots of sandals? if there is one anyway, im tired of stealing sandals from homeless people that are attacking me to have my whole party with shoes that arent drifter boots or plated boots which is almost only things i saw so far on traders

Sandals are not in any vendor, but you can make them yourself after you unlock the simple clothing types research. All you need is one book to pay the research after you have unlocked the clothing manufacturing research, which is a prerequisite. And that one also requires just a one book.

Boot traders sell sandals. They have the sign that looks like a backpacker. There's one in Mongrel and one in I think Blister Hill. It's absurd how hard it is to buy them, considering how many hobos and vagrants are wearing them.

You can get busloads of them from ninjas and farmers out in the grey desert and other UC areas. Don't even have to fight them, just wait until they run into someone else. Heck, if the slavers get them, you don't even need to loot the bodies, they'll leave the boots sitting on the ground. Fix up that tower at the waystation, keep someone in the area, and after a few days the area will be littered with abandoned footwear.

Oh, if you don't like the stolen tag on items you've... borrowed like many of those sandals, make an appropriate storage container like an armor locker - or heck, a crossbow locker works for all items - put it in, and pull it out. It's yours now.
