Good to know.
Why one would think that an enemy would just lay quietly in bed and heal up, though, is... yeah. Even if they were knocked out and you deposited them into a bed well out of aggro range of any of your characters, then you left them there, I'd still mostly expect them to just get up and walk around/proceed as normal as soon as they become conscious again. Does the AI make a point of healing in bed? I've never paid that much attention to injured guards/etc., but I think it doesn't, right?
Might make for a good mod, though. "Restrictive beds" or something. Like with straps.
Just trying to find an answer, not being judged why I'm asking this, if you're talking about common sense, an injured enemy would appreciate being nursed back to health and not attacking the person trying to heal him. I'm just talking about game mechanics here, let's not stray too far and leave it at that.
If they have both legs working then NPCs will get up as soon as they're conscious, but if they find themselves locked in a player home then usually they'll just stand there motionless. Even if you'd expect them to be hostile, and your PCs are in range.
So: you can simply knock them out and put them back in the bed for another couple of game hours.
With a human NPC I might need to use the assassination skill a few times for a good heal, but with a skeleton most of the repair work can be done very rapidly with a repair kit.
I've mentioned this to OP before, but it's far more practical to just battle in Defend mode so that the NPC is never hurt to begin with...
The AI for PCs will send them to bed if they're injured and have nothing too important to do (like dealing with active combat). I don't think I've seen NPCs voluntarily sleeping outside of the regular day / night schedule, though.
Skeletons are pretty tough, it's difficult but possible to remove their limbs in combat. The most effective, guaranteed method is to shove them into Peeler machines. Keep some bandages or repair kits on hand, depending on whether your prisoner is organic or synthetic. Side effects may include exsanguination, incarceration, or random villager attacks (shut/lock your doors if you're torturing people in cities).
Yea I just got peeler machine the other day and skeletons are already robots so I'll do it the next time I play the game, but for human characters even though it's just game I still hesitate. Even for Beep it was an accident at first, he lost one in combat training and since he's so happy when I put robotic limb on him and he keeps mentioning it, I did change all his limbs to robotics.
I'm still on the fence to do it on my main character coz that's my anchor in the game world I just dont like the idea of losing limbs and it's not just me I read some ppl in reddit also mention not going to lose the limbs for the buffs. Thats why I'm still looking for a mod to get the buffs without losing limbs, but there is no way it seems. I think I'll hve to overcome it and do it anyway at some point. It's just game.
Other than Beep, will other characters respond when they use robotic limbs ?
