Opinion on "Show damage floaters"
do you guys play with damage floaters off or on? I trying with no floater right now it's feel weird like no one around so I dont go look for loot. I kinda like hardcore mod and stuff.
what do you guys think

I wouldn't turn those off as these numbers are the invitation for the player to go and see something for themselves xD But I must admit it is a pretty interesting idea to have such challenge playing "blind"!

There is nothing hardcore about turning off damage numbers. After all, it doesn't generally tell you much except that some damage was dealt, you'd still need to click to find out what part of the character was injured.

Maybe it might be more immersive in large battles, particularly if you're only watching, but if participating, you probably should just leave it on...

I mean the hardcore part is like you wouldn't know there's a fight going on so no free loot:cozypoesad:

The floating numbers didn't help me much when it comes to finding fights, but the screaming sure did.

I consider the floating numbers as combat noise whichs accustic equivalent is definitely way too short ranged to be heard from a distance.
And yes, the screaming is always an easy find. And it is as well a floating text, not an actual sound.

Does it makes the game harder, if the numbers are turned off? I don't think so. There are so many sources of income that missing loot from a random fight is just a marginal loss of potential income.
I would consider it more a loss in QoL. Having these numbers is actual feedback playing the game. I could play with sound turned off either. It just removes feedback and atmosphere but doesn't make the game in anyway harder to play.

Honestly I just appreciate the notification that there's something to do in that direction. Outside of the very early game, you can be pretty much certain that the "loot" isn't worth while.

The best you can ever hope for is a bit of raw meat.

I turn damage floaters off on all games, can't stand them...
