What happens if your starting character dies?
I have never lost my first character. I have always figured you would just become another of your henchmen. But what happens. If I lost someone it was years ago like over 1000 hours ago and don't remember.
Thanks for sane replies. Cheers

As far as I know, they're just another character.

"You" don't have a representative in this game. You may control a variety of characters, but none of them are "you" - or even "leaders", for that matter. They're all treated as equal, regardless of strength, time of recruitment, squad ordering, etc...

If any one of them dies then all that changes is that you have one less character at your command.

Nothing, your starting character is no different than any other character you hired. Game only ends when every character you control is dead.

If you want to know whether the game will end with the demise of your last unit, it won't. You become permanent spectator of the world.

Yes, just like everyone else said - "YOU" are every last one of your characters. Old and new. So when you get new pawns - you extend your ingame "Hivemind"'s life in case one of your characters will die. Game truly ends only when everyone's dead (and you can fly around without any camera limitations)
