Can I get good crab armor without crafting?

I want to get a crab helmet that's above standard quality but every time I checked the shops there was none above standard and I don't want to take the time to train a smith to make it.

for armor smithing you can abuse the animal skin into lether thing.. just go to leviathan coast and you will have endless supply in no time

I'll try that, but what level of armor crafting do you need for a masterwork helmet?

80+ above with "luck" but 100 for common masterwork if I remember right

Scorchlanders have XP speed bonus for smithing. You wanna to have 2 heavy armor workbenches to speed up chances for more masterworks. I've sold so many specialists and made good profits. Raising smithing skills can be faster than you think but it gets stalled from 94 to 100. You'll still get more masterwork armors with signature of your smithers.

better make 5 benches, the only downside from more workers is more muscles
