Refund the Game - system requirements
Today I bought Kenshi from Steam but the game is not working correctly on my computer.
I checked for System Requirements (reccomanded) from Kenshi store steam page and even if I fit those the game is just unplayable. Laggy as hell, even the mouse is moving with delay.
My computer is ok, in fact I can play all games without any kind of problem but with Kenshi even if I set all graphic settings to minimum it still lag as hell.

I want to have a refund, what I have to do?
Please modify the system requirements from the store page because it's really inaccurate.

Dario

I didn't know about the one refund policy, thanks for information.

Guys since this discussion is over and there's nothing Kenshi Developer can do don't reply again. Thank everybody who provided useful information and/or support :)

lol guys i don't know what i do wrong but i play kenshi with around 40 fps on my work pc (intel E-5300 with 2 GB RAM and GeForce 8600 video (256 mb of ram) ) Maybe because i use win xp on it ?

You should get a refund, because it's true that the system requirements needs updating.

If you only have 2gb of ram, the game will just crash while loading (the game alone takes about 1.8gb, that don't give enough to the OS).

It says dual-core processor which include those old core 2 duo processors (your processor is about 25%-100% faster than those and has hyper-threading). I have a 3rd generation quad core 3.8Ghz processor and the game still uses 50% of it at 40fps (it's my bottleneck right now)... It would be imposible to run the game at >15 fps with a core 2 duo.

Your integrated graphic card sucks and it's holding back the whole system. I heard it can run mass effect 3, but currently kenshi isn't opitmised at all. Ignore everything Alakeram said. The only things your CPU and graphic card share is the system RAM and the chip (the graphic card is inside the CPU). Anyways, in the specs it doesn't say "no integrated graphic cards are supported". It only talk about directx9 and pixel shader 3.0 (yours has directx 11 and pixel shader 5.0 if I remember correctly...)

You shouldn't say "is not working correctly on my computer" if you are gaming on a laptop BTW.
Since your laptop probably doesn't support an real graphic card, I'd suggest upgrading your CPU to an 4th generation one so you can get the better graphic card they put in them if you really want to play this game. Otherwise I believe you have every right to ask for a refund.

2gb ram? IDK if it's because my save file has been through lots of patches, but simply loading my game use 1.8gb . Windows XP run well on 128mb ram while windows 7 need >512mb so yeah don't update to 7 :P

I was surprised when you said ±40fps with a dual core... but then I forgot I have set population and group setting to the max (x3 and x4 I think). My bad, but those fights are boring when you get to the point that one of your guys can take whole group of samurais alone.

Edit: A brand new game uses ±1.3gb here. You must get lots of crashes or you don't play for long periods of time? I get crash because the game reach 4gb usage. The devs plan to "fix it" for people having >4gb, I can't imagine how it would be with only 2gb.

Thats because you have an actual graphics card, and not some integrated junk.

too bad my "normal" card worst than his intergrated (about 4 times) :( Also i use experimental 0.59 version that leak memory less than normal game and have population at normal rate.

Not really. Intel hd 4000 may be capable of rendering things slightly better, but since it is integrated it uses the cpu and ram to do so. Your card is very old (released in 2007) but it is dedicated, that means it's got it's own processor and memory which helps alot. I would say that a gt 8600 is better for gaming than hd4000. Actually, i think my old pc had the exact same card, and it was pretty damn good at the time, remember playing gta san andreas on it when it was still fairly new game.

Integrated graphics are just not made for gaming, but to replace big and expensive dedicated graphics cards.

I don't know where you take your information but this site list all the specs and highligth the differences. GPU display is what is important here, GPU memory is used for things like textures and anti aliasing.

LOL on board graphics is a joke and on an Itel to boot. Get a real video card then you get ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ rights.

This is the kind of computer i am buying to the workers here at work..
With a computer like this you are supposed to work, not to play any game.
You can only blame yourself when you are so close to the minimum requirement to a game still in alpha.
Feel free to ask your IT service to buy you a better computer, i am sure they will be happy..
Man.bear.pig. Jul 23, 2014 @ 10:17am
Your problem is the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ cpu built in gpu you're using. You need a dedicated GPU to pretty much run any game decent now.

There's a Demo to try the game before purcheasing, whetever, the game will evolve and for sure will gain more speed on low specs. But before buying an "early access" and "support the game", support yourself first and try the demos.

Think about it, if all low specs ask for a refund, at this point the devs can stop to work for them and concentrate on high specs... all for 20$ ?

Dario prova ad aspettare il prossimo update che è bello tosto a quanto pare, se poi continua a non andare chiedi il rimborso.
