My slave start, subsequent escape from Rebirth, wandering south hiding from EVERYTHING that might come my way, living off scraps, looting the dead, finally made it to the Border zone. then headed Mongrel direction for Beep. then proceeded to do two clockwise laps of the map; fighting, being beaten half to death, exploring ruins, recruiting squad members etc etc then eventually set up home in Catun. my band of recruited misfits was finally able to hold there own in combat. but i wanted to go to war with HN so i needed a small army. and i had no friends whatsoever and alot of enemies.
So i made Catun my home to research as much as possible for easier base building, started hitting HN mines to train stats aswell as gain more recruits. like minded individuals who also wanted to see HN fall. (RP alert) finally outgrew Catun so set up home in Shem. built a base. continued training. took out Dust King and Black Dragon Ninja leaders due to constant harassment. kept poking HN mines. HN raids started on my base. a long bloody campaign began.
Finally Seta of the South showed his face. managed to beat him down and cage him. handed him to the Shek. I now had friends. using my new Shek allies we banded up and hit Okrans Shield. gave Valtena to Flotsam Ninjas. I now had more friends. Then with my squad plus Flotsam ninjas plus ALOT of Shek warriors we threw ourselves at Blister Hill. We was ultimately beaten back. But we hurt them. We had to leave, regroup, heal up and then go again. We hit Blister Hill again. most of the paladins inside were still injured from the initial assault. We took the fight to the HN again and gave no pause to our attacks. The Phoenix was no joke but even he eventually fell. Blister Hill was quite literally awash with blood. It was epic.
So with the Phoenix on my shoulder what to do with him. 100k bounty would set my squad up quite nicely but who wants him? Shek seemed happier to have the land itself, Moll seemed happy to have him only to to cut him up into little pieces and feed him to the River Raptors. regardless HN had fallen so what of the future. ive read that destroying UC leaves alot of lawlessness and starvation and i personally want to keep playing in a somewhat populated world (plus i like the UC cities, reminds me of Tattooine) plus i want my squad to set up somewhere and live the easy life in this harsh land.
I gave Phoenix to the UC. my rep with them is now on 80. i have more 'friends' than i know what to do with and the majority of my maps cities are green and thats given me alot of breathing room. free to continue this story however i want. free to continue exploring this awesomely broken world.
All of this and ive not used either of the world mods you listed.
whilst it doesnt help you with a decision between the mods, it at least gives an example of a playthrough of a somewhat similar goal without the mods.
regardless Its been an incredible journey. This game kicks ass.
and ive wanted to write down my journey for awhile. so thanks! lol
In my native language, it is called "eliberare" with that "E" on the start so I got it messed up.
Step 2: Train
Step 3: Enslave hungry bandits by selling them to slavers
This was before they were called meme's, something like, "Slavery. It Gets the Job Done"
