"no video device detected"

i was beyond stoked to play this but when i got it it seems im the only person on earth with this issue where i go to play the game but the message "no video device detected" pops up making it unplayable and i reaaaaallllyyy want to play this but i have no clue what to do about this pop up after i select "ok" help would be greatly appreciated

My guess is you have a laptop with integrated graphics and the game options are trying to read an actual GPU card.

i dont use a laptop i have a custom built pc, and yes i have reset my pc multiple times, un-installed and re installed the game and still the same error pops up so this is beyond me to figure out, universe just hates me i guess lol

try going into your nvidia control panel and add the kenshi exe and then scroll down till you can find run with discrete graphics. i'm not sure if amd has this thing but you'd have to google it.

edit:alternatively you can just disable integrated graphics in your bios to force every program to run off your gpu by default

My issue was the driver for my graphics card wasn't working so I went to control panel>Device Manager>Display adapter then I clicked on my rx580 went to driver and updated it. This fixed the issue for me.

I hope you then went to the GPU manufacturer's website and installed the actual latest drivers, as using that method usually results in a rather old driver.

Yo tuve la misma mala suerte, intenté mil formas, hasta que entré aquí y leí el comentario de reiniciar 😅😅y me funcionó gracias a Dios. Es mi juego favorito y si no podría jugarlo rompía mi PC y denunciaba a steam. Xd
