Training dummy not working

I joined up with the Shinobi Thieves for early training. No matter what weapon I use, or how long, my stats aren't going up at all, and neither is the training bar. Am I missing something?

Depending on the level of the dummy you can only get to attack level 5(I), 10(II) or 15(III)

Is that levelling a specific weapon use? Or melee attack? (sorry if that's a dumb question, I'm very new)

It only levels your attack, it does not level your weapon skill.

It levels only the melee attack stat regardless of what you attack it with

Ahhh I see, thanks! Still wrapping my head around this UI. My melee attack is past 5, so I guess I won't be able to use it. Oh well, hopefully I'll find a better one to use somewhere on the road. Thanks for the help guys! ^_^

The big building in mourn has dummies that train up to 15... same floor as the cute plushy whi...

Hint, do not go there now.

dummies up to 10 are in most police stations, you are not allowed there , so sneak.
