Kenshi
Brightness settings?
I imported my existing characters into a new game, and it was pitch black - even darker than it used to be. I couldn't do anything at all, since I couldn't even see my characters. After six hours or so, it got light enough to see - barely - although everything still blends together badly (much different than it used to be in the desert).

Now, this might be a problem with my setup, since I'm getting lots of graphical glitches, anyway. The sky is a mess, and the names of my characters are widely offset from their location. But how do I increase the gamma settings? I can't have the nights THIS dark, not even close. But I can't seem to find any graphics settings at all.

I looked too, no way to change it.

Someone will be along shortly to tell you its working as intended, but I agree. Its too dark

I just bought it and the game is waaay too bright and washed out. I actually wish i could darken it - substantially. It looks like diarrhea om my screen.

If you look in some old discussions on the same subject you will find some solutions. (In reference to being too bright.)

The lack of a Gamma option is indeed, lazy. Such a basic feature not in this game.

There are some mods I recall that will adjust lighting, in some ways.

Can you guy post a screenshot? I'm curious what it look like, maybe it's a bug?

Note that my original post here was almost three years ago, when the new map had recently been released. Just for the record, that's not a problem at all anymore.

I'm still playing the game (918 hours, so far), and the game looks great on my screen. Much of it is desert and looks bright in the sunlight, as it should. It gets much darker at night, in areas of fog or acid rain.

Of course, that doesn't mean it necessarily looks good on every screen, and your tastes might well vary, too. With my original post, it was a problem because I couldn't see ANYTHING. But again, that was fixed long ago.

I just didn't want my post from three years ago to cause any misunderstandings. Thanks.

I don't know if you know, but this guy made this game from some janky engine by himself. I mean, it's a bit of an issue not to have, but the amount of work done on a trash engine like that is insane.
