This makes it so all characters move at same speed as the slowest moving character (of those characters you selected and gave a move order).
You need to do this on every character you recruit since the default is to always move at max speed.
2 other unrelated things but kinda related:
To make sure they all are able to move fast while wearing armor/weapon you should do some strength training to allow them to wear their equipment without being slowed.
Let them carry something (you only get half xp if you don't carry something, mouse over encumbrance to see strength xp) and get encumbrance to 70% for maximum strength xp while moving.
Also for best fighting capability they should have 2x the weight of their weapon in strength, if they have less they attack slower.
There are some areas of the game where I find the pathing gets a LOT worse than others, especially with regards to calculations. I can no longer travel to the Bugmaster's tower for example because there's just too much going on in the world (due to mods) and the pathing gets stuck
If this is your problem then there's something weird going on in your game that's messing with
If you've only got a few people, you might want to try taking 7 of them and assigning them bodyguard duty on your slowest member. Then just move the slowest member around and the rest (who are faster) will now automatically try to stay close all the time.
I will try that bodyguard duty. Most problematic place I found so far is that great squid like looking metal structure in desert. I wanted to take a closer look at it and was absolutely destroyed by pathing and had to reset squad positions.
Also do you think taking maybe everybody with me on my adventures is it good idea? I mean. As soon as I get all my guys equiped. There wont be any reason to hang around my base too much. I just gotta get food surplus and I believe this could reduce lag? Do I have a right idea or will lags remain same?
If you have 8 people, then yeah. I find it's way more fun to play by just going from town to town buying houses to set up crafting stuff in, adventuring, and then just going wherever to sell and cooldown.
If it's 50 people then no. The pathing is only going to get worse and it will be like herding cats, or you'll have to reduce their speed a lot using that jogging stance so you can keep track of them
q
I got 53. XD Game was very hard and I could not find anything to take out with small squad. Maybe ocassional drifters? So I was kinda forced to go 8+ because of the XP gap.
That synced movement speed option causes issues when traversing water or other difficult terrain.
