Most expensive thing in the game?

So I've got more than 100k cats and I don't see anything worthy that I could spend these on, an example of something over-expensive and not worthy is the standart grade chainmail shirts made by the holy nation that cost 27k cats or so... Is there a specific place where I could buy op weapons and armor with that money? Research things count too, especially ancient research books, if there is a place where there's lots of them tell me and I'll know where to use all of my cats.

I think I saw a tower in the SE corner of the available map for 160k. It's just out of range for the character traveling there, but you can swing the camera around to get into view of the gate. (to click purchase) Also of note is the entire Borderland village just south of the tower, which is also purchasable in whole. (piece-wise, of course)
