Laggy mouse?
I don't know if this has been said before (it probably has) but I need help with it, my mouse sort of lags and its movements are kind of 'airy' and 'slow' does anyone know a fix for this because it's starting to annoy me

Enjoy playing with the windows mouse pointer, that's what I do anyway.

Try adjusting your mouse sensitivity?

Sorry to necro this but I tried turning hardware mouse on and it doesn't disable the other mouse even with the restart. Now I have two mouse cursors, one that's responsive (windows mouse) and one slow and laggy mouse that follows it around... is there ANY way to fix this? Or does someone know what the mouse texture is called so I can make it invisible or something?

The mouse texture is part of a png so one could just transparent that area but i feel that would be more of a band aid rather than a fix. Most gui will mods will replace this anyway.

If you're running borderless (has been known to have mouse input issues) try fullscreen, and press:
alt+ent
during the main menu each session to set the screen to correct resolution before starting the session.

Other things to try are:
Disable/unplug tablets / pens
Disable/unplug controllers
Disable/unplug Trackpad (if laptop)

Make sure game.exe is running in admin mode.
Make sure that steam is running in admin mode.

Disable third party overlays - This includes nvidia shadowplay, nvidia ansel, overwolf and others... (some of these are stealth installs with drivers)

Disable stay resident programs such as active scan security programs (ccleaner/virus security etc)

Add steam, common games folder and specific game.exe to exempt list of OS win defender, and any addition security programs being run.

Install or repair latest version of common redist - these can be found in game folder but also in stand alone steam folder now.

Try remove Vsync mode, worked for me to remove the "Smoothing Mouse"
