Thanks, I added some above. I am curious if there is ingame tweaks/setting changes to help?

I get bad performance issues as well, on the new map. The old map I was consistently getting over 100FPS with no stuttering at all. New map is an unstable 30fps out of towns and 10fps in some areas with lots of stuttering.

yeah this needs to be fixed. 5-10 fps in cities

You could try turning off shadows and turning down some of the other graphics sliders such as ground clutter and skybox something-or-other. Reducing the population scalar in the world settings also help a good deal.

In related news, they're working on a huge performance update that should be out soon.

Yes there are, if you open the graphics settings you'll see some settings that if reduced should increase framerate and reduce stuttering:

view distance ~ 3000
terrain detail ~ 0.2 (have to do this every time you start the game)
grass view range ~ 1
grass density ~0.1
foilage view range 1
npc view range ~ 2000
texture quality medium
water reflections disabled
shadows disabled
fxaa off

Optionally use this mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/kenshi/mods/46/?

where do you disable fxaa?

It's with the other settings, at the end.

View distance below 4500 will create more shuttering if you move to new location..
Terrain on 0.5 is normal to be use..

Only temporarily, for msot of the time in increases fps and reduces stutter.

Maybe, but the game runs smoother with lower values of terrain detail. To bad the game resets it to 0.6 every time it is started.

I would recommend getting more ram.
I had the same issue till yesterday when i went from 8 to 16gb.
Now game runs flawlessly.

That's odd, the game uses less than 4 GB.
