Levelling Weapon smith
Is there a fast way to train weapon smith? Making Iron clubs or Staffs perhaps?
Or it doesn't matter and it's strictly dependant on time spent crafting?

And if not, is there a cheap way to train it? using less materials perhaps?

the skill level up from the time used, i make the more cost-sell price profitable weapons or get the Training dummy mod from the workshop you can level up weaponsmith to 70 without spending materials

I see, thanks. And what's the Storage for Weapons? (to automate the worker puting it in the storage)

Is it Weapon Cabinet? or Weapon Stand?

both work, i prefer the cabinet

What's the difference? does the cabinet hold more space? or is it because cabinet is smaller(less space used inside the house) than the weapon stand?

Forget material cost, materials are cheap, and weapons sell for a ton.

A more important resource is space. Make smaller weapons so you can store more, requiring fewer trips to the vendor to sell. Smaller weapons also take up less bag space. You can fit many katannas in a large backpack.

I *think* skill increase is based on time spent crafting. What types of weapon you choose to craft is purely up to you. I usually go for quickly made weapons like clubs and stuff if I want to sell loads of stuff, since they require less materials and are quick to make, giving a nice steady stream of profit. Bigger, more expensive weapons can't be sold off as quick as things like Clubs and and Bandanas, since not all vendors have the cash needed to buy them.

Be advised though that Plate Beating Station and Chainmail crafting increases Armorcrafting aswell.
So does leather tanning, got a guy up to 60 just processing 200 hides.

on a related note, are their any recruits to hire that specialize in weaponcraft or armorcraft and whats the highest people have seen an npc start at? had a bezerker join my squad after i saved him and he was at 6 or 9 for one of those two craft but dont remember which

Craft weapons that take along time. It cost in resources but it in the end you can a weapon maker you can be proud of. For armor you can just have one guy make your armor mind you it take time to fully out fit your army but you'll have a guy with good armor skills.

Of crouse this is if you took time get the plans for better armor like time spendy chain mail shirt and Plank swords.

LOL just in training my guys I burn millions in equipment vs hauling and saling. I only sell what I need money for something.

metal club who can be crafted from a start is quite decent , does not sell for a lot but you can fit it in all backpacks with ease

after you get blueprint i guess whatever its smallest and sells for highest
Dunno about starting recruits, but definitely try to get a scorchlander. They get a 20% XP bonus to weapon and armor crafting which helps a lot.

Craft as much as possible using the Weapon Crafting 2 skill (or whatever it is called). When you craft weapons at level 2, you use iron plates, but at level 3 it takes steel, which is a lot more expensive and less easily available if you are sitting in town, buying materials and grinding a guy up.
balalaika86 Feb 20, 2018 @ 2:10am
Yeah, stay away from anything requiring steel unless it's for personal use. It's expensive, takes too long to make, requires a lot more material and just an additional step in the production line.

I'd say the same goes for Chainmail crafting, really. It requires a lot of materials, take a long time to make, and very few vendors have enough money to buy good quality chainmail.
