Is it one of those weakling to god kinds of games? Or you stay weak?
Is this a game where you start extremely weak, and have potential to get strong enough to defeat giant groups of enemy's without even losing much health? Or is it one of those games, that is contantly difficult no matter how strong you get?

I love games where I feel massive progress in my strength and knowing that end game I will be invincible, so this is why I ask?

Anyone have the answer to this? :)

No, as a single person in the world you might be a real bada$$ that can take on a lot a fools at once.
But the lone person is at best able to be a serious badass one person, never a Superman doing what it takes an army to do.

The world is the world, and all beings in the world are natural, not supernatural, to that world.
So anything that would naturally demand more than one person to accomplish, will remain something no lone wolf does.

This game is not from the POV of the player just being a single person in the world that will eventually do all the things(Skyrim style). If you choose to play as the single lone wander kind \of character...well lone wander as a title don't exactly say, farming settlement or military strong hold, as normal to that way of life. Also don't say, Uber Super that will single handedly take down an entire nation alone.

The design of this game is that the player might play as a single lone person, or they may play as an entire village and its militia.
So if we play as a single, we do not get to also do all the same stuff that it takes a whole group of people to accomplish.

So while you can become the top of the food chain in the game environment, as the player.
The design does not assume that is your goal, so does not just make itself such that that is just going to naturally happen to all the players in all the games.

here if you want to dominate this game world you will need to play nto as a single you in the world, but that you the player are the group. Sort of like the POV of the X-com games.
You the player are not specifically one of the units but representative of the group as a whole.

Here you might play as just one toon, but if you choose to, then assume to buy a house in town, presume to live as a single person would need to in such a world setting. And not that the game designed for you a lone person in the world to do things well beyond the scope of a lone person in the world.

That is not to say that a lone person is weak and can do nothig of interest. It is to say, keep your scale of expectations correct, and you'll find a lone wander can be a lot of fun to play as. As long as you don't expect to get to do stuff like be a stand alone self sufficient hermit in this world. There are just too many organized and working in groups factions in this world that will come to tax or steal from you or enslave or eat you. To reasonably hold down a house in the wilds all alone.

Technically, yes. You start out as a useless lowlife with nothing to their name, and you have the potential to become the baddest badass of the entire wasteland. First you can't beat even a single hungry, dying bandit, but 100 hours later you and your crew might even be able to destroy the entire slaver faction or whatever.

The world doesn't scale in difficulty whenever you level up. This means that yes, you and your crew of misfits technically should be able to become a bunch of living gods

Depends what you're going up against. If you want to run around beating up starving bandits then yes. If you are wanting to go on a rampage against the SE corner you're in for a tougher time. Some named characters (like the lord phoenix and protector of the flame, bugmaster etc) will be tough for even high level characters if both combatants are equally geared.

If you work alone, you'll probably eventually get overrun by groups of enemies who slowly carve through your godly muscles 'till you drop. having a friend around is always nice though, but not necessary. For taking down factions? I'm not sure, but I guess if you managed to storm in and destroy a faction leader and flee, you could do some serious damage.

I believe the limit to all your stats is a hundred, but I doubt you'll ever reach a point where this is a problem. If you do somehow manage to get super-high stats, it'll be very difficult to find enemies higher level than you, so leveling becomes a real crawl. Just think of it like you hit the limit when you're literally an unbeatable killing machine who doesn't need to level anymore.

So it's not likely I'll ever be strong enough to walk up to a faction and take them all on by myself then without any tactics? Won't be able to take them on with brute strength? Haha

Solo end game is difficult, but possible. A properly trained and geared person can take down a city or faction.

Kenshi has a good modding community as well, you can make your 'end game' go from frighteningly easy to absurdly difficult, depending on your mood.

Yeah I'd be definitely down for a mod that mutliplies your stat increase per level!

There are several that increase your rate of experience, and others that allow you to build training dummies that level up different stats beyond the normal levels.

Yes and no.

This game is very much like MMO where each area is filled with different kind of mobs, so you can easily become god in certain areas, while the end-game zone is almost always a suicide trip regardless how strong or how well equipped your characters were.

Hi. Yeah you start very weak & useless. However if you endure, then you will grow strong. Game is difficult if you find the right foes. Solo play is doable but very difficult. This because if you get knocked out no one will patch your wounds. You can die from your wounds. Massive progress to combat stats means tackling the proper foe.

End game ( if there is one) you can be extremely powerful where alone you can be the Destroyer of Worlds. To this end you also need to increase the right skill. There is a demo. Why not try it first & see how it goes?

"Stat increase per level" doesn't apply to Kenshi. You don't have a "level", you have a couple dozen skills, all of which increase independently by using them. For example, I have a character who only fights using katanas and occasionally polearms, so his Katana skill is 40-something, his Polearms skill is in the low 20s, and all his other weapon skills (Blunt, Heavy Weapon, Saber, etc.) are all still at 1.

There are mods which accelerate the rate at which skills increase, but there is never a "Ding! You're level 10! All your skills just went up at once!" moment.

Thanks I appreciate the info! :D

If you like big payoff on skill upgrade though, this game is probably among the most satisfying in terms of making you feel like your skill has increased. No one character is invincible, but even getting your skills up to 50 or so (can be done relatively quickly depending on how you play) makes you feel like you're playing a different game entirely.

From what I understand you're not supposed to interpret your starting character as your "main" character but mine is certainly far more capable than all the others, able to sneak wherever they please and assassinate whoever they like, which is a HUGE difference from the early game
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
