Base location that has everything?
Hello I'm looking for a good spot that has everything in one spot.. water... food.. iron... copper... stone... so I can work within my walls.

Also it be great if it was high up to with plenty of space like on a plateau or something so I got a really good view of my surroundings and I can see my base from a distance.

It would also be great if it was in the centre of the map or close enough. I dont feel safe having a base on the ground I would really prefer the higher the better.

Thanks for the help

near deadcat village, iron, stone, copper fertile land...its not a plateau but you can make your entry gate on the beach and turning the ocean into a big and wide moat to slow the enemy movement to a crawl while you rain bolts at them

Okrans Gulf is a great spot of you're wanting to build a farm. not so much for very much else, the irons fine (not 100% on that) perhaps middling quality, but the copper nodes are ♥♥♥♥♥ quality so you won't be getting much copper if you aren't 100 in Labouring. There is a lovely little flat spot in the Stenn desert area, near by a Waystation thats a good spot to settle. Shem's a good spot as well.

Foglands southern border.

Mongrel is up.
Coastal Hive Village is to the left and a little below.

Boring Cannibal and Scrawny Cannibal raids only, though.

the thing about the centre of the map is that most of it is taken up by the Black Desert (permanent acid rain and you can't grow anything without hydroponics) and HN territory (limited metal resources and any non-humans will have difficulties)
also you don't want your entire base to be high up because altitude negatively effects water presence, you want wells on low ground if possible)

This location should tick all your boxes as shown on the above pics. It's near Shem and has a very decent amount of all resources on the edge of the plateau. In the pics where you can see the wind turbines are mining operations.

Just south is a waystation with three vendors. Each vendor has a decent amount of cats for selling gear etc. It's a top spot with great views, and very flat. Only downside though very minor is a yield rate of 53% with wheat. Then again, just plant more wheat. Water is about 50%.

Edit: Don't trust the numbers in the prospecting pic as it was relative to where my character was. The two stone mines are in the 90s. Also numerous iron nodes and a couple of copper.

Valley in Fog Islands (SE from Mongrel). 3-4 entrances, you can block some of them with buildings.

HN territory - on the left side between two rivers there's nice place with enough iron and a copper node, you can get all of them inside walls.

Also in Fog Islands there's a plato with decent resources, iirc there's only 40-50% water though (not a problem with auto wells), and I don't remember where exactly it is. NE from Mongrel maybe

Shem sucks. I built my base there because a parrot is plastering the forum with "shem, shem, Sheeeeeem!"
