My leg is busted up, but pressing medic just used the first aid kit. How do I use the splint kit to splint my leg?

the splint kit raise ur limb base hp,for example ur legs is -20 hp and u can't run, use splint kit ur legs will work like 20hp.

right click on yourself to use it, it will not do much if your healing skill is low however.
If you have the option to splint yourself you can also press ♥♥♥♥ prior to clicking and it will assign it as perma job, then so long as ya have a kit on you it will splint yourself or anyone else you auto heal.
