Mod Idea - Rent/Sell your houses/furniture to NPC

The idea is simple, a mod that allows you to sell a house or a specific object, like a shop counter or storage, or an entire building set up to be a shop, etc. to NPCs that will then act as a merchant for your outpost. This could be tailored further by making shop signs that trigger specific NPC merchants, like putting up a trade sign makes the shop owner sell general trade goods.

I think the game is already capable of doing this too, since players can buy houses that are for sale, maybe just adapt it so that an NPC can too. And that NPCs who settle in your town pay rent, or if they open shop, you get a sales percentage, etc.

Sadly I myself do not have the modding skill or experience to do this. I am just starting to understand the way functionalities and crafting benches work, so no idea how to mod AI or housing sales sorta stuff yet. Just thought I'd put the idea out there since it appears the game is capable of it.

i'd really like that just to get rid of houses i bought. in the beginning they were useful but now i'd like to get rid of them without also deleting all my bases..
