Question about Cactus Rum

Description of the Cactus Rum says its not very popular in the desert because its dehydrates you a lot but people in more green climates drink it like a crazy. It also sells only for 82% of its price in Heft. If i go somewhere else- will the price go up? I want to make rum and sell it. I have a small outpost with cactus farms and wells (if troublemakers come i just run away) and rum crafting station in the city

The price of goods in each city is determined at the beginning, if you want the price to change you have to import or go elsewhere. Also some factions will have a premium for some goods, for example UC has 50% premium for sake. I think the swampers have a premium for rum but I rarely make the stuff so not sure.

Ah, my dreams of a cactus rum are ruined! My small cactus plantation was visited by both traders guild and UC. I told them both to kindly ♥♥♥♥ off- 7500 cats weekly, what nonsence! I dont even live there- just small plantation of cactuses i use. Can i just hide away when they send enforcers?

Could always switch to making hash in the swamp... sells for more, and "rent" is only 2000 (which includes a gang of Hounds to help with raids.) Even for more legal ventures, Sake sells very well at the nearby UC city.

Hash though its like 100-200 then if you go to uc its gold

I travelled from Great Desert to the Swamp. To my suprise cactus rum onle sells for 114% there. Goal of this journey was kinda pointless but journey itself was quite worthwhile.
