Growing Hemp

So I am in Gut starting two large hemp farms. I don't really want to create hashish... yet... but I want the hemp for the biofuel generator thing. I'm really far away from any UC city but somehow they know to send guards out and attack my gates or walk through them if they are open and discover my hemp farms.

First, how did they discover them when I just built them?

How can I prevent this from happening without causing a conflict?

Are they UC tax party? They do not enter base, they wait for you to speak to their leader at the gate where you can choose to pay or not. If they can see your hemp farm then they would send a drug raid. Check your events to see what their party is intended for. In past, I was ally with UC for awhile, when they sent reinforcement, they entered my base and saw my hemp farms. If I don't speak to their leader soon enough to bribe him then UC sends drug raids.My base in Gut has 2 gates with long walls in between so beak things as well other factions cannot see my characters or anything inside my base.

You can bribe them to turn a blind eye.

How do I bribe them? The Tax Man just visited outside my two gates and the only option i had was to pay taxes

Only times I bribed UC is when they sent reinforcements to my base to help against other major raids. So they entered my base and saw hemp farm. But tax party usually wait by the gate and wasn't able to see my hemp farm cuz my base is big further away from gate. So if tax party can see your hemp farm from the gate then you need to adjust wall and gate set up, move hemp farm to block their sight. I don't know if you can bribe UC tax party over hemp but you can with their reinforcements.
