Sabre or Polearm for Agnu?

After just over 100 in-game days, I finally decided to recruit a new member to help out my solo Hiver. The Hiver's a martial artist and while I would like to make Agnu use MA as well, their racial trait of 0.8x MA growth is a little off-putting.

I thought it'd be fitting to give them one of the two Meitou weapons from the bosses at the Tower of Abuse. One of them is a sabre and the other a polearm. They both seem pretty good, but do you guys have any recommendations? I'm personally leaning towards the polearm but I'm open to suggestions.

My Agnu has a very firm grasp on poles^
He is the village stripper and firefighter too.
Meitou heavy polearm. Seems to suit him well.

I put a moon cleaver on mine and enjoyed watching him hack his way through the UC lines when we attacked one of their slaver markets. But I’d say go with the pole arm, that thing is a beast at meitou quality.

Yeah, it seems like the polearm is the better choice. The bonus VS animals will come in handy and it's nice to have a weapon with good reach and bleeding damage, both of which my martial artist can't really do.
